She is willing to continue, on a limited basis, working in the Pharmacy to help the new owner get established. She is also willing to lease this space back from the new owner for one year. The amount of Good Will that has been generated by the current owner is immeasurable. The people in and around the Town of Middleburg have tremendous respect for the intelligent and compassionate attention she has given to her customers over the past twenty five years, many have been loyal to this neighborhood Pharmacy for over 50 years.
*The owner is selling the business herself under a separate agreement.
HISTORY:
Since its construction in 1934, this has always been The Middleburg Pharmacy. It is rich in history both in the people it has employed as well as those it has served; both lists serve as a Who’s Who to the area. As currently exists and for the majority of time, the building’s owner has also been the Pharmacist.
Prior to remodeling in 1975 this was the nostalgic Drug Store with a Soda fountain. Local residents speak of growing up in Middleburg where some of their favorite memories and first jobs include the Drug Store and Soda Fountain. Tucked beneath the stairs the Pharmacy’s original counter, where prescriptions were filled, is still intact as well as many of the old bottles. A fascinating read is the ledger dating from 1934 with cures written for humans as well as horses.
Being in the heart of town with level access from the sidewalk, this retail space offers many opportunities. In such a quaint and historic town, it would be wonderful to have a retro drug store with soda fountain where people could gather and exchange news and views.
Middleburg caters to independent business owners and has a very active, and very welcoming Business and Professional Association. www.visitmiddleburgva.com

There are four hot water heaters which service the building.

The building occupies approx. 75% of the lot with the remaining 25% open and used for parking. There is metered street parking and to the back of this building is a municipal parking lot.
