Emily joined Thomas and Talbot in 2007. A lawyer licensed in California since 1983, Emily brings her years of experience as a practicing attorney to each transaction with which she is involved. Because her family moved from California to a farm in The Plains, VA in 1998, Emily understands the issues involved in relocating to a new area and enjoys helping her clients navigate that process. She enjoys working with both buyers and sellers. An avid supporter of land conservation, Emily has worked through the easement process with several clients, and protected her own farm with a Virginia Outdoors Foundation scenic easement. In her spare time, Emily enjoys riding horses and renovating houses. Emily has owned three farms in the Middleburg area and is on her fourth major renovation project. She splits her time between homes in Georgetown and The Plains, so she understands the benefit of having a commutable property. She is a member of The Orange County Hounds and has fox hunted for over 25 years. Emily is also a member of the Piedmont Environmental Council, the Goose Creek Association, the Greater Piedmont Realtors, National Association of Realtors and Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS). Emily has received the Greater Piedmont Realtors Gold and Silver Annual Production Awards
